| In September 1943, 24 British X-men piled into six midget submarines. Their goal was to destroy Nazi Germany's pride and joy - the battleship Tirpitz. Just three of the six submarines survived the arduous journey through arctic seas to reach the Norwegian fjord where the battleship lay. The mission was a success - the Tirpitz was crippled. The captains of X6 and X7 were awarded Britain's highest decoration for bravery, the Victoria Cross. But the fate of the four man crew of X5 has been shrouded in mystery ever since, as a wreck has never been found. Now, a team of Norwegian divers believes they have located it. This program has exclusive access to their diving operation and charts their progress. Can the brave crew finally be laid to rest as heroes? |
