This documentary series goes behind-the-scenes on the cruise ship Galaxy. 852 feet long and weighing 73,000 tonnes, it is one of the largest and most luxurious cruise ships in the world. Home to around 2,000 passengers and 1,000 crew, the Galaxy is blessed with a rich and varied cast of characters. There's Jane, the singing sensation from Yorkshire, who is top of the bill, but still suffers from stage fright every night; Granville, the bar waiter from Jamaica; Amanda, the social hostess; and Kate and Jim, the inveterate cruisers on their 68th holiday voyage. Their stories are at the heart of a warm, humorous and intimate look at life on all 10 decks of the Galaxy as it cruises around the sun-drenched shores of the Caribbean.
