Egypt"s lost city, Tell El"Amarna, is surrounded by tombs cut into the high cliffs the walls of which are covered in partially destroyed images of an ancient Egyptian King and Queen, portrayed as no others had been before. They were shown worshipping not one of the many gods of ancient Egypt, but instead, The Sun in the sky. Who were this couple? Why were their images destroyed? And, what was their connection with the most famous pharaoh of all - Tutankhamun, upon whose Golden Throne there is the exact same sun symbol?
